Theresa Ann Soucy
July 24, 1949 – March 6, 2019
In Loving Memory of Theresa Ann Soucy.
An amazing woman who touched all our lives. Some may know her in Bangor as an owner/legend of Frank’s Bake Shop. We (our family) know her as an amazing mother, Amie (grandmother), beautiful sister, niece, fun-loving cousin, and a heartfelt friend to all whom she came in contact with, no matter if you met her for the first time or knew her all her life. She has many accomplishments- most of all her love, healing and compassion towards humanity.
University of Maine at Presque Isle, Health and Physical Education/Fitness International BodyTalk Association, Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, Mind-Body Therapies and Education
Theresa also served as Vice President – Board of Directors Cancer Support Center of Maine
Theresa graduated from the Academy of St. Joseph’s in 1967 and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She owned and operated Frank’s Bake Shop in Bangor, Maine for over 30 years, in addition to Aqua Pure Water Store from 2005. Theresa was also a certified Body Talk practitioner, synchronizing and balancing the body/mind complexes to the innate wisdom of self-healing; as well as a certified Rain-Drop therapist, using non-invasive message and essential oils applications, helping to strengthen the immune system. She had long been active in community support through her business donating to a wide variety of local agencies, including donating food to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter; gave her time, food, and resources to a number of local fundraising events; and was active in community enhancement activities.
Through her many years in business, Theresa employed interns from Community Culinary Arts Schools to fulfill their curriculum development and has employed numerous individuals with disabilities. She volunteered at the Bangor Senior Citizen’s Organization, and was a guest speaker at Husson College, in Bangor Maine, to promote family businesses in Maine. Theresa was known for being an ally to those in need and generously gave to dozens of individuals and area non-profits throughout her decades of business in Bangor. She also supported and cared for many friends and family who have had cancer.
